Data Capture

Use AIMS to collect and manage information about incidents, both adverse events and near misses. HIT-ClassificationTM deconstructs incidents using cascading natural questions that capture the detailed and structured data needed for comprehensive analysis. AIMS provides two levels of classification; Basic for minimal classification and Standard for detailed classification. AIMS data entry forms are client defined to fit your organisation and incident management processes.

1. You define the incident notification form to suit your organisation. Basic incident information is entered on this side of the form.
2. This is where detailed information is collected and classified for serious or targeted incidents.

Incidents can be entered into the software in real-time - eliminating delays and duplicated effort, or be entered centrally by dedicated staff. Pre-defined workflows ensure that the appropriate staff are informed and, in the case of serious incidents, that risk management tasks are activated. AIMS data can be up-aggregated for comparison at the facility, organisation, and regional or even country level.

Data capture options include:

  • Directly into the AIMS system via a terminal at or close to site of the incident
  • Web based ideal for widely dispersed staff without access to LAN or WAN connections
  • Paper form for centralised data entry
